Ari used to live in a cottage by the woods with his familiar cat MossMoss, until an angry mob from the village nearby decided to storm his abode and reprimand him for being a witch. In an attempt to escape before the mob could arrive, Ari rushed with shaky hands to draw a teleportation circle. And when MossMoss knocked over a candle, connecting the circle prematurely with the wax and sending Ari to the future instead.

MossMoss got left behind, but his spirit still stuck around to find him in the future, always sticking by his side. Now Ari and MossMoss live together in a magical home of their own making, hoping to share it with all the lovely Kindlings who find their way to them.
